Aluminum EMT is manufactured in accordance with UL797 and ANSI C80 3.
NEC 344.10(A) allows the use of either aluminum or galvanized fittings with aluminum EMT conduit.
Aluminum weighs ⅓ to ½ as much as steel, you save money during shipping and installation.
